FML is a Moodle-based Learning Management System that delivers role-based training through Learning Plans. Users are automatically assigned Learning Plans containing relevant courses, where they can complete learning activities, earn grades, track progress, and receive certificates upon successful course completion. The platform also provides administrators with complete control over user management, Learning Plan management, course management, enrollments, and training progress through a centralized admin dashboard.

Bulk User Upload
Adding thousands of users to the LMS manually was slow and time-consuming.

Solutions
Bulk User Upload
Built a CSV-based bulk upload feature that allows admins to upload up to 80,000 users at once. The system automatically creates user accounts, making onboarding fast and easy.
Automated Learning Plan Assignment
Implemented an automated cron-based process that assigns Learning Plans and courses based on the user's Rank, ensuring every user gets the right training.
Training Reports
Created a reporting module that gives admins detailed reports on course completion, module completion, enrollments, and learner progress in one place.
Learner Dashboard
Developed a comprehensive learner dashboard that provides a clear overview of completed courses, pending assignments, and overall progress.
Key Features
Administrator Dashboard
The Admin Dashboard serves as the central control panel for managing the entire LMS. Administrators can create and manage users, courses, Learning Plans, roles, permissions, plugins, and system settings from a single interface. It also provides quick access to learner activities, enrollments, and overall platform management, making day-to-day administration simple and efficient.
Bulk User Upload
The platform supports bulk user onboarding through a CSV import feature. Administrators can upload up to 80,000 users in a single file, and the system automatically validates the data, creates user accounts, and updates existing records when required. This significantly reduces manual effort and enables faster user onboarding.
Learning Plan Management
The Learning Plan module helps administrators organize training based on business requirements. Learning Plans can be configured using criteria such as Rank, Vessel Type, or other organizational rules. Required and recommended courses are automatically assigned to eligible users, ensuring every learner follows the correct training path without manual course assignment.
Reporting Module
The LMS provides a powerful reporting module that gives administrators complete visibility into learner progress. Reports such as Course Completion Report, User Report, Learning Plan Report, Course Report, and Course Module Report help track enrollments, course completion, module progress, grades, and overall training compliance. Reports can also be exported for further analysis and record keeping.
Student Dashboard
The Student Dashboard provides learners with a clear overview of their learning journey. It displays the total number of Completed, In Progress, and Not Started courses, allowing users to quickly understand their training status. Learners can access their assigned Learning Plans, open course lists for each category, continue incomplete courses, monitor progress, view grades, and download certificates after successfully completing eligible courses. This personalized dashboard helps learners stay organized and complete their mandatory training on time.
